History
In 2008, Collin Rusk became interested in software development’s systemic aspects. By 2013, those elements received focused attention. That concentrated investigation, along with career experience, led Collin to tendencies and opinions. Those habits went into his job. The opinions went, starting in 2018, into his Medium-articles. Those columns helped Collin develop some writing muscle memory and practice articulating his thoughts. By mid-2021, he launched Software Development Journal to distribute his viewpoints on the systemic elements of software development.

While getting a master’s degree, Collin was exposed to a more system-wide view of software development, leading him to become interested in the topic. |
2013
|
Collin began researching subjects related to the systemic elements of application construction. His research on those matters led him to develop habits and opinions. Those tendencies bled into his work. The thoughts marinated in his brain, congealing over time into a viewpoint. |
2018

Collin started publishing in Medium his perspectives on system-wide aspects of software engineering. That platform helped Collin build his writing chops and the ability to articulate his views. |
Mid 2021

Collin launched Software Development Journal to house articles describing his opinions on software development’s systemic elements. Those perspectives aim to be interesting, thought provoking, and otherwise beneficial enough to form a consistent audience. |
